About the team:

The Lambeth Forensic Community Team, is a busy specialist community team within Lambeth. The team consists of Nurses, Psychologist and Psychiatrists. We provide care and treatment for service users with forensic history and challenging behaviour and are currently based at Lambeth Hospital.

Main duties of the job

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Psychiatric Nurse to work in the Lambeth Community Forensic Mental Health Team as 12 month secondment or 12 month fixed term contract. We are looking to find a dynamic, creative, forward thinking and hard-working nurse to work within our friendly team.

The Post Holder will work as a member of a borough based Forensic Community Team and will manage a reasonable caseload of clients with offending history and complex mental health problems.

The post holder will aim to provide a flexible, responsive and pro-active programme of care and support for the service users and their carers. you will be required to develop and maintain links across a wide variety of statutory and non statutory organisations such as Probation, MAPPA, Jigsaw, Hostels, primary care and other voluntary and non voluntary services. You will also be involved in specialist mental health assessments and the application of evidence based psychosocial interventions.
