We are delighted to be advertising two new investment posts to support the development of our CBT pathway in our Horizon Core Tier 3 CAMHS Team.
We also are recruiting for two further posts, one of which is vacant due to staff progression within the team.
Successful applicants will be joining a diverse and innovative multi disciplinary team, therefor there will be many opportunities for learning, development and integrative working with young people with moderate to severe mental health problems.

Main duties of the job
- To provide a Clinical/ Counselling Psychology/ Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Assessment, Formulation and Treatment service within the Horizon Team (Core tier 3 CAMHS Team) in Lewisham CAMHS.
- To manage a caseload as a Care Coordinator.
- To utilise outcome measures and service user feedback to inform collaborative care planning, monitoring and supporting the journey of young people through the Lewisham CAMHS Service.
- To contribute to enabling other staff, service users and carers from diverse backgrounds to flourish by working to create a psychologically safe environment.
- To provide clinical supervision to assistant psychologists and, depending of experience, band 6 qualified staff.
- Consultation as appropriate.
- To undertake service evaluation, audit and research.
- To work as an autonomous professional within BPS, BABCP and HCPC guidelines and codes of conduct, and guided by the policies and procedures of the service, taking responsibility for own work including treatment and discharge decisions with support of clinical supervisor.

Although these are full time posts, we would be happy to consider part time work / job shares in line with service need.

About us
The objective of Lewisham Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) is to provide a multidisciplinary diagnostic, assessment, treatment, advisory and consultative service for children and adolescents with emotional and behavioural disorders in particular those at high risk or those with more severe and persistent problems suggestive of psychiatric disorder. The service has five Specialist Multidisciplinary Teams: Horizon (Generic), Neuro Developmental Team (for children with significant neurodevelopmental problems including ASD), Symbol (for Looked After and Adopted CYP); LYPS (for young people with severe and enduring mental health problems) and ARTs (for young offenders). In addition the Paediatric Liaison Service offers a service to children with psychological problems associated with chronic health conditions and the Child Well-Being Practitioners Team and Mental Health in School's Team who offer low intensity intervention to CYP who have mild to moderate Depression, Anxiety or Behavioural Problems.
The Horizon Team offers core CAMHS interventions for children and young people aged 5-18 years who present with moderate to severe complex mental health difficulties. The team are based at the award winning Kaleidoscope Centre in Catford. The team values quality improvement practice, staff wellbeing initiatives, patient involvement initiatives and has a strong commitment to providing an inclusive and equitable service to our local population.
