Job summary
We have created an exciting new post and are looking to recruit an experienced registered nurse to act as a Lead for nurses in Lambeth CAMHSwith responsibility for providing professional leadership for all nurses within Lambeth CAMHS. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the effective professional development and provision of supervision to all nursing staff, both clinical and/or professional. The post is split 60% clinical / 40% Lead Nurse responsibilities
Main duties of the job
- To support the Head of Nursing with the implementation of the Trust wide Nursing Strategy across the local service and contribute to the workforce development of nurses locally, supporting recruitment activities and ensuring educational opportunities are available both pre and post qualification.
- Coordinate & have oversight of nursing student placements in Lambeth acting as the key link for universities.
- Take a lead for Tenable & physical health in the borough and contribute to the development of a physical health clinic supported by other health staff.
- To provide expertise as a Nurse and to offer advice and consultation on clients care to other members of the team.
- To liaise with medical colleague, partner agencies and adult mental health professionals across a range of settings.
- To work autonomously within professional practice guidelines and Trust guidelines.
- Contribute and be an advocate for research and audit.
- Coordinate and quality check physical health audits, objectives and initiatives as directed by the trust and locally.
- To triage referrals received by the Lighthouse (Front door / Duty) Team
- To provide oversight of the assessment clinic
