CAMHS Psychologist x2 (working 22.5 hours per week)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two part time Band 7 CAMHS Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or CBT Therapist to join the Emotional Disorders Team (EDT) at Westminster CAMHS. The post offers the chance to work within a highly skilled and dynamic multi-disciplinary team supporting young people and their families with a wide range of emotional and behavioural difficulties. Psychology is a well-established and integral part of the team, where specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention are highly valued and central to the service's approach.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will deliver specialist psychological assessments and both individual and group interventions for children and young people referred to the Westminster CAMHS Emotional Disorders sub-team. The primary therapeutic modalities will be Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and third-wave CBT approaches (including ACT and CFT). Experience in additional psychological models is desirable, as more complex presentations may require an integrative approach. The role may also include providing supervision to colleagues such as Assistant Psychologists.

The Westminster CAMHS service is based at Woodfield Road, and is well connected by public transport. The team is well established and is staffed by a large multi-disciplinary team of clinicians with a wide range of skills trained to clinically think from a diverse a range of therapeutic approaches.
We aim to provide an accessible, flexible and responsive local service for patients and professionals working with children in the area using the whole range of therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, systemic and family Therapy, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Psychoeducation, DBT therapy groups and as well as Positive Behaviour Support.
Westminster CAMHS consists of four main sub-teams: Emotional Disorders Team; Neurodevelopmental Team; Enhanced Treatment Team, and Early Intervention Team. Our service also provides a range of supervision opportunities and is committed to provide continued professional development.
