Job summary
Band 6 Clinical team Leaders/nurses work in partnership with the people who use our services, their families, friends and carers and play an important contribution in how people experience their care and relate to other people. Band 6 nurses are expected to be compassionate, responsive and approachable but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the service provided to the people in our care:
Keeping the people who use our services as safe as possible through the use of sound clinical skills and effective risk assessments;
Ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence based policies and procedures;
Empowering people through working in partnership throughout their care and treatment in the service.
Supporting the development of junior staff and improved care delivery through effective supervision and the use of reflective practice.
Able and willing to fully participate in TMVA/physical intervention.
Please note that this role requires successful candidates to be able to engage in Therapeutic Management of Violence and Aggression (TMVA) training, including the use of force techniques. This is because of the high-acuity nature of the ward environment and the need to ensure the safety of both patients and staff. The role is conditional upon candidates being able to engage in TMVA training during the course of their employment whilst undertaking this role"
