MOSAIC and BiBorough School Health Service Manager

Job summary

The post holder will provide effective operational leadership of Camden MOSAIC which includes the Child Development Team (CDT), Social Communication Assessment Service (SCAS), MOSAIC CAMHS, Feeding Clinic, Sleep Service, Community Paediatric Dietetics, the Single Point of Referral (SPOR) and the Down Syndrome Pathway. Clinical leads for MOSAIC services have professional accountability to the relevant Clinical Lead within one of the Partnership Provider organisations.

This post also provides Service Management of the BiBorough School Health Service spanning Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea.

The post holder will line manage the Camden Children's Integrated Admin Team Manager. The post holder will also act as the lead for The Mosaic Child Development Team.

On a day to day basis s/he will operate independently in operationally managing the MOSAIC service and working in partnership with Clinical Leads. The post holder will also act as the Service Manager for The BiBorough School Health Service.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that both services operate effectively and achieve KPIs, including national and local targets, finance, activity, and HR whilst providing excellent care for children and young people, and a true family focus.

S/he will be responsible for ensuring effective multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working, and leading on service development and care pathway redesign work as relevant.

Main duties of the job

- Provide effective Leadership for both services through providing a coherent vision for the service and ensuring buy-in from all team members.

- Ensure both services operate according to all relevant national and local guidelines and policies (e.g. NICE, National Service Frameworks, Children & Families Act 2014).

- Continue to develop clinical services using evidence-based approaches.

- Lead and further develop the Camden Children's integrated Admin Team working to ensure that practice is streamlined and clear, and that administrative risks are minimised.

- Work closely with the Clinical Leads to ensure that clinical practice is evidence based and meeting needs, and that clinical quality is maintained. Undertake joint appraisal and objective setting for CDT and lead clinicians with relevant professional leads.

- Undertake performance and appraisals for direct reports.

- Be accountable for all decision making for MOSAIC and the BiBorough School Health Service.

  • Registered Therapist or nurse, Post registration qualification (Paediatrics, OT, Physio, SLT, CAMHS or other appropriate clinical field)
  • Degree in Therapy or nursing (with Paediatric experience)
  • Evidence of post registration professional development

Desirable

  • Has or working towards MSc/MA relevant to post

  • Previous Experience of working at a Band 8a
  • Substantial previous practicing clinical experience
  • Team management, Leadership experience, including recruitment, appraisals and staff development
  • Understanding of governance and risk management processes and its impact on practice

  • Clinical community therapy experience
