Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 administrator to join our team at the accredited Specialist Memory Service/Healthy Ageing Team in Milton Keynes. SMS provides early identification, assessment, diagnosis and support to clients who have dementia and their carers/families.
The main responsibilities of this post will include: providing administrative support to MDT colleagues within the Memory Assessment Service, booking appointments, speaking with patient/families/carers, telephone duties and collecting and analysing data as required.
We are looking for someone who is dynamic, organised, who can work autonomously as well as part of the multi-disciplinary team and who can work in an efficient manner. You will be responsible to the team manager.
Main duties of the job
- To provide administrative support to the manager and the SMS multi-disciplinary team using a range of software programmes to produce reports, correspondence and minutes of meetings.
- Provide and receive routine information requiring tact and persuasive skills to exchange verbal and written information across multi disciplinary services.
- Exercise judgment when dealing with enquiries, analyse and resolve problems where required and within scope of role.
- Plan and prioritise own workload.
- Use an electronic patient record system to record information
- When required service meetings including preparing appropriate papers and taking and transcribing minutes
- To assist in the implementation of any database in use in the service, including on request inputting or extracting data.
- Collect and collate statistical data as required for auditing purposes producing reports from the data as required.
- To support the team with maintaining the KPI's related to the patient pathway on the clinical record system
