Job summary

We have a new opportunity for a B4 Occupational Therapy assistant (OTA) post within our Milton Keynes Community mental health HUB. This is an excellent position for someone who wishes to gain experience in community mental health.

We are looking for some with an excellent interpersonal skill, passion and an ability to demonstrate reliability and commitment to team working.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will join the Occupational Therapy team. Duties are varied and you will work with experienced Occupational Therapists who will provide guidance and support to develop the skills required to plan and implement groups and one to one session with focus to improve and enable everyday activities for the service users.

They will practice within the Community Mental Health HUB setting with an appropriate level of supervision from a qualified Occupational Therapist.   • Good general education up to GCSE/ A level standard / NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience

  • Previous experience as an OTA, Activity Co-ordinator or have worked under OT superivison

  • Previous NHS Experience

Knowledge and Skills

  • Good communication skills
  • IT literate

  • Full driving license in order to use unit vehicle
