Job summary

The post holder will be part of Drug and Alcohol service Hillingdon (ARCH), which consists of multiple services across the borough of Hillingdon. The post holder will be part of the wider Data team based at ARCH Hillingdon, Old Bank House, 64 High Street, Uxbridge, UB8 1JP and will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues as required.

They will have specific responsibility for gathering, inputting, analysing and managing the data requirements of ARC Hillingdon. They will support colleagues in the process of using the system and entering data, as well as emphasising the importance of clean and accurate data collection. They will monitor the quality of data entry, and manage the data on the system to help with audit and research. The post holder will also independently provide and manage a range of support and administrative functions.

Main duties of the job

The main responsibilities of this post will be to ensure completion and accuracy of our clinical data and correcting data where required, monitoring of our KPI performance, providing an oversight of common themes in terms of data quality issues, and ongoing support to members of staff in completing data accurately.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic, organised, who can work autonomously as well as part of the multi-disciplinary team and who can work in an efficient manner. You will report to the Addictions Performance Analyst and be responsible to the Sector Manager.

  • To administer and manage statistical information using spreadsheets, databases or dedicated information systems ensuring that all information is readily available for presentation and use for statistical returns and reports.
  • To have expert competency in using a range of software tools for data extraction and subsequent analysis and presentation including SystmOne, PowerBI/Tableau, Powerpoint, DET and MS Excel.
  • To possess the technical skills to import and convert data using SystmOne/PowerBI/Tableau/PowerPoint/MS Excel (importing files, sorting data, filtering, pivot tables, calculations using built in functions, producing graphs and tables).
  • To have the technical ability and flexibility to learn new skills should data systems change and evolve over time.
  • To take responsibility for the timely and accurate inputting of clinical data, and to proactively liaises with clinical colleagues to ensure the collection and provision of information.
