Job summary
The post is on the inter-trust and social services Band 5 OT rotation in the London boroughs of Camden and Islington. (Trusts and Local Authorities involved are shown below).
Rotations are 8 monthly in clinical areas, which include acute, intermediate care and rehabilitation, mental health, paediatrics, admission avoidance and social services. The post holder is a full member of the multidisciplinary team and is responsible for a caseload of patients as delegated by the Senior or Team Leader of the clinical service, and as such is professionally and legally accountable for work undertaken. The post holder will set and maintain a high standard of clinical practice, which is evidence based where possible, using local and standardized assessments and outcome measures, where appropriate.
Vaccination

Main duties of the job
We recognise that the step between student and professional needs support so we have invested fully in our Band 5s development through robust supervision, a preceptorship programme and internal training. Success at preceptorship enables them to then be an educator for OT students. Career development opportunities are available and many of our Band 5s chose to stay with us in senior posts.
