Primary Care Nurse Consultant - Health and Justice
We are looking for an experienced Primary Care clinical nurse leader and advanced practitioner to pioneer the role of Nurse Consultant within our Health and Justice services.
Main duties of the job
As a Nurse Consultant in Health and Justice, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, advanced practice to those under our care. This role provides dedicated time and resources to ensure the delivery of safe, effective care and prescribing; with senior clinical leadership and oversight for advanced practitioners within our service. You will be responsible for all four pillars of advanced practice: clinical practice, leadership and management, education, and research.

Knowledge, Training & Experience
Essential
- NMC registered RN, Educated to master's level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in Primary Care, specialist areas including long term conditions. Non-medical prescriber (V300)
- MSC or PGdip in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalency criteria as per national standards
- If PGdip must have previously completed an MSc
- Extensive knowledge of Primary Care specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent
- Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development.
- Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy in Health & Justice and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
- Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the NHS England and individual provider and commissioning organisations
- Member of relevant professional body
- Extensive Health & Justice experience across community and inpatient - an expert in their field.
- Can demonstrate experience of advanced clinical skills in primary care management
