Job summary
We are looking for a team manager for one of our key senior management roles within CAMHS Specialist Services in Milton Keynes - working with the team leaders and lead clinicians to provide a service that specialises in supporting young people with a range of mental health issues. We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated manager to help further develop the service and support the young people who access it.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant would be responsible for the day to day operation of the team and the staff within it. You must also be committed to improving the young people and carer experience. Applicants must have experience of working in a Specialist CAMHs service and must be able to demonstrate an ability to manage and effectively lead a busy and dynamic team. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate an awareness of current mental health issues in relation to children and young people and have a record of professional development relevant to the post.
With the support of the Service Manager you will be involved in service developments within the locality and directorate.

- Is responsible for the effective implementation and leadership of Child and Adolescent Services in Milton Keynes.
- Provide direction and co-ordination in conjunction with Heads of Departments and relevant managers in shaping and implementing the future provision and quality of services provided.
- In liaison with the Service Director and Senior Management Team co-ordinate the approach to Clinical Governance and assurance frameworks to ensure and monitor high standards of care.
- To be operationally responsible for the effective management of the CAMHS Services.
- To provide sound day-to-day leadership and direction to services across the CAMHS Services
- Actively lead in the change management agenda for the CAMHS Services.
- To deliver robust financial management in line with Directorate, Local Authority, Divisional and Trust targets, including the realistic Cost Improvement Programmes.
- To ensure services meet care quality and performance management standards.
- To represent the Borough at external meetings with stakeholders when required.
- To Deputise for the Service Manager as required.
