This post is a really unique and exciting opportunity for someone passionate about improving the care and experiences of young adults aged 16 to 25 years across five boroughs in North West London. The post holder should have excellent knowledge of mental health services, experience of service transformation / redesign, co-production and operational knowledge of mental health services.
The model builds on the requirements from the NHS Long Term Plan and looks to provide a high quality, safe and effective model which istailored for the 16-25 age range, looking to reduce gaps in service provision, address unmet needs for this age group and ensure smoothtransitions for children and young people into adult services. This unique opportunity provides the post holder with a chance to further develop anationally leading model which provides excellent demonstrable outcomes to the 16-25 population.
This is a key senior leadership role and will work with clinical and operational leads from CAMHS and Adult Mental Health services and other key stakeholders including patients and commissioners to co-design and codevelop this model. Due to the transformation and operational aspects ofthe role it will have a dual reporting responsibility to two divisions covering adults and CAMHS - namely Goodall and Jameson divisions' AssociateDirectors for Partnerships, Integration, Strategy & Transformation.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead on further developing and supporting our mental health model of care for 16 to 25 year olds ("young adults") across five boroughs in North West London, and provide overall operational and leadership expertise Trustwide. Our looks to provide a high quality, safe and effective model tailored for the 16-25 age range, looking to reduce gaps in service provision, address unmet needs for this age group and ensure smooth transitions for children and young people into adult services.
This is a key senior leadership role and takes overall responsibility for our 16-25 model. It works autonomously whilst pulling in support from across the divisions on different workstreams. The postholder will work with senior clinical and operational leads from CAMHS and Adult Mental Health services and other key stakeholders including patients and commissioners to design and develop. Due to the transformation and operational aspects of the role it will have a dual reporting responsibility to two divisions covering adults and CAMHS with accountability to the Divisional Managing Directors
The role will provide senior leadership on the transformational required to further develop the model, but also have a background in operational management in order to ensure effective delivery. The post holder will be key in driving forward the development of the service and supporting Divisional Directors and Borough/ Service Directors to bring about transformational change.

Service Improvement, Service Redesign and Transformation
- Working with the senior management, lead transformation priorities ensuring clear alignment to transformational direction in CAMHS and adult mental health services
- Work across the Divisions to lead and drive the delivery of broad range of transformation priorities that are linked closely to commissioning intentions and/or organisational objectives
- Oversee systems and process to ensure the robust management and delivery of priorities
- Oversee reporting arrangements to ensure that the Executive and Divisional Boards has oversight of progress and the escalation and mitigation of risks and issues
- Lead, direct and support the virtual project team and wider clinical/ operation staff in the delivery of the new service
- Manage external consultant support that may be needed for specific projects
- Ensure the service is established in line with financial restraints
- Lead on a complex change management programme, working across service areas with clinical teams and managers to improve delivery of services and outcomes for service users.

- Across the Divisions, ensure the planning and implementation of the project in line with agreed project management processes and standards, within the defined quality, time and cost constraints across a wide area of clinical and non-clinical services
- Ensure high level monitoring and reporting of all aspects of the project across the Divisions
- Line manage, set objectives and appraisals for any staff within the project team
- Provide supervision and developmental inputs into staff in the project team
- Lead on the workforce design and specific responsibility for devising the required workforce establishment and skill mix. This may require the development and delivery of workforce and educational plans
