Job summary
The post holder will provide, develop and oversee specialist family therapy interventions to children, young people and their families who are referred to Collingham Child and Family Centre Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient Service. The role will encompass specialist family therapy assessment and therapy to service users and their families/carers and advice and consultation on their care to non-family therapy colleagues and the professional network involved in their support. As a member of the Referrals Team, the post holder will provide initial consultation and gatekeeping assessments alongside the Consultant Psychiatrist on behalf of the under 13s national Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient network. The post-holder will also care manage and deputise for the Therapy Lead to assist in providing clinical oversight and management support for our skilled and cohesive Therapy Team consisting of a Family Therapist, Clinical Psychologists, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, SALT and Dietician. The post holder will provide clinical supervision to trainees and the Band 7 Family Therapist.
The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of systemic practice within the service/team. They will utilize research skills for audit and support policy and service development.

Main duties of the job
- To provide, develop and ensure the systematic provision of a highly specialist family and systemic psychotherapy service for referred children and their families including specialist assessment, treatment, planning, implementation and monitoring of outcomes.
- To provide specialist systemic psychotherapy assessments and treatment to referred children, young people and their families based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of services.
- To formulate and implement plans for the formal treatment and/or management of mental health difficulties experienced by children and families presenting to Tier 4 inpatient CAMHS in line with research findings and evidence-based practice.
