This is an exciting opportunity for a full time highly specialised physio to join a dynamic and innovative team providing holistic assessment and treatment in a variety of community and acute settings. The Hillingdon Rapid Response Team has been expanding to provide integrated pathways such as D2A, Post Covid Triage clinic and other services to meet the needs of the local community and avoid unnecessary Hospital admissions.

Main duties of the job
Applicants must hold a relevant Qualification with substantive community experience or other comparable/transferable roles. The post holder should have experience in the management of junior staff and students. They should have a good understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation and treatment methods used in this specialist field. They should be a car driver and have access to a car for use at work. They should be adaptable to change and embrace innovation.

Job responsibilities
You will be based at Ickenham clinic and will be completing patient visits within the borough of Hillingdon. You may potentially be allocated to work in Hillingdon Accident and Emergency at times as part of your role to avoid unnecessary Hospital admissions. The multidisciplinary Rapid Response team assess and stabilise patients with urgent care needs in the community and support discharges via the "Discharge to Assess" pathway from The Hillingdon Hospital. Therapists are currently expected work between the Hours of 08:00 and 20:30. The post holder will be expected to work some weekends and bank holidays.
The post holder will provide rapid specialised assessment and treatment of patients who have complex physical, psychological and sensory impairments and initiate services to safely avoid unnecessary hospital admission. The post holder will have a leadership role in the day-to-day operational management of junior staff, delegating activities appropriately and monitoring the quality of care given. The post holder will be expected to identify and promote areas for service development.
