Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist to lead in the Gospel Oak Camden Integrated Community Health Service (CICH).CICH celebrates three District Nursing and Therapies teams, working together in a unique integrated model to meet and address the health needs of the local community .

The post holder will work jointly with the Band 8A Nurse Lead to be responsible for operational management and leadership of the Gospel Oak community team ensuring the coordination of the care for patients on the team caseload, as well as the appropriate deployment of staff to meet the needs of these patients. The post holder will also ensure that the team provides effective assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care that meets professional standards.

The post holder is clinically responsible for managing and leading the inter-disciplinary rehabilitation OT, Physiotherapy, Clinical Psychology team at Gospel Oak.

Main duties of the job

With a specialist qualification in Occupational Therapy the post holder will also have a wider role across CICH to support with specialist clinical supervision and lead on projects where Occupational Therapy specialist practice input or professional leadership is specifically required. The post holder will also work jointly alongside Physiotherapy Leads across Camden Integrated Community Health Care (CICH) for the falls pathway in the borough. The invaluable contribution of OT and Physio has been recognised and our service is integral to the successful delivery of this service. This means that the post holder will need to apply enhanced knowledge of falls management and be confident when representing the service at multiple different forums/workshops and project meetings. There is a strong emphasis on new ways of working with the developing multi- disciplinary neighbourhood working and the post holder will be required to act as clinical lead as an Occupational Therapist to enhance multi-agency collaborative working in the neighbourhood.
