Job summary
We seek an enthusiastic, highly skilled, experienced children's nurse ( SCPHN /Paediatric Nurse) who is currently in a leadership role with an ambition to be as a senior manager. We welcome a dynamic individual with an interest in the development, delivery and redesign of ty children's nursing services, ensuring high quality, personalised care to all users. Services include Harrow 0-19 , Harrow Children Looked After and Community Children's Nursing including special school Nursing.
You will be the professional lead for Harrow Children's nursing services working with the Nursing directorate to ensure professional leadership, practice and expertise across teams.
You will be an integral member of Harrow Children's Services leadership Team working (alongside colleagues in therapy services and Community Paediatrics) to improve the services in Harrow . You will work within the Harrow Children Integrated Partnership in planning an delivering initiatives such as child health hubs and family centres .
This exciting role enables you to gain experience in the management and delivery of Children's Nursing services within the CYPFS division. You will implement and manage systems and processes to ensure that services comply with Trust-wide policies and national/local targets.

Main duties of the job
- To line manage staff, both clinical and non-clinical, ensuring that individual staff performance, appraisal and continuing professional development is robustly undertaken to optimise both individual and organisational performance .
- To support teams to perform effectively in-service delivery and ensure effective communication, multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
- To act as a senior clinical champion influencing multi-disciplinary staff to make change, ensuring that service improvements are acceptable and sustainable across both professional and organisational boundaries.
- To be a source of a high level of clinical expertise across the field of CYP providing both general and specialist advice for clinicians on the full range of relevant issues including aspects of risk assessment and management
- To work alongside key colleagues and develop constructive relationships both within and external to the organisation.
- To include patient's perspectives within service improvements.
- To identify and lead on the delivery of productivity and efficiency savings .
- To work with the Head of Quality Governance and implement systems and processes to manage risk and compliance.
- To contribute to the annual business planning cycle.
- To deputise for the Head of CYPF Services as appropriate.
- Prepare written and oral progress reports setting out progress in relation to the work and learning within the various services
