The Westminster South Community Mental Health Hub, based in Vauxhall Bridge Road, is looking for a dedicated Band 4 Health Care Assistant who is looking to make a difference whilst working in an environment that promotes staff development and training opportunities. CNWL is passionate about developing its own staff, driving them to go on to become more established practitioners and this post is no different.
Flexible working- Our Hub operates Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm however there are opportunities for this post to be tailored to suit you and your lifestyle needs with someflexible workingavailable in a team that is dynamic and transforming the way we offer support to people in Westminster with mental health challenges. The successful applicant will support a small caseload of patients, working in collaboration with the Clinical Leads/Senior Practitioners, allied health professionals, and to have close working relationships with the Inpatient Service and HTT.

Key Responsibilities
Band 4 Health Care Assistants contribute to the provision of safe and reliable services by:
- Working to the standards set out in the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers and Adult Social care Workers in England
- Safeguarding people by recognising and responding when an adult or child might be at risk from abuse but also recognising their own limits and asking for help and escalate concerns when necessary
- Escalating safety concerns and by doing so acting as effective advocates for those who use our services
- Being open and transparent
- Identifying areas where improvements in safety or quality can be made
- Working closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team to improve services
- Maintaining accurate, legible, comprehensive records
- Maintaining compliance with their mandatory training requirements
- Using continuing professional development funds to consolidate, update or improve clinical skills
- Working in partnership with patients and their families and carers
- Acting as a role model for other health care assistants and registered staff in working closely with people using our services
- Participating in supervision and annual appraisals which will help you to reflect on your work, understand your objectives and monitor your progress towards achieving them.
