Band 7 Ward Manager

We are looking to recruit a compassionate, highly-motivated, committed and passionate nursing leader into the role of Ward Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to come and join the Jameson Division.
The post-holder should have a passion for working with adults who have enduring mental health conditions and have experience of working within challenging and complex environments as well as experience within a managerial position.
The post holder will need to provide leadership and mentoring and will act as a positive role model for junior staff in a manner that positively reflects the ethos of the service and the Trust Values. You will be responsible for managing, directing and leading the nursing team.
The post-holder will work with the multidisciplinary team to promote a trauma informed environment and ensure interventions delivered contribute to meeting the individualised needs of our service users.
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate progressive skills in leadership, advanced clinical practice, and service development.
Main duties of the job
Main duties of the job
Ensure that the planning, delivery and evaluation of care programmes addresses the complex and changing needs all patients.
To lead the ward team in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practice.
Be the central point for all referrals for the ward admissions and will be working within an integrated team alongside discharge coordinator and bed management team to ensure effective patient flow which includes reducing the length of inpatient stay.

Qualifications & Training
You will be a 1st level Registered Mental Health Nurse with significant experience of hospital site management
ENB 998/SLICE or Mentorship qualification
Relevant post registration health care and/or management qualifications
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
Significant experience at Clinical Team Leader Band 6 or above.
Budget and resource management understanding.
Experience of providing management supervision and appraisal
First line management & leadership experience.
