Band 4 Rehabilitation Assistants (RA) within Inpatient Therapy work closely with people who use our Services, their families, friends and carers and play an important contribution in how people experience our services. Band 4 role is expected to be kind and responsive but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services we provide by:
Keeping the people who using our services as safe as possible by working closely with the Registered AHPs and other registered clinicians.
Using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence-based procedures when implementing care plans
Ensuring the people using our services have a good experience by implementing and evaluating care plans in partnership
Supporting the qualified staff in delegated discharge planning activities whilst ensuring patient and family are kept involved in decisions and the implementation of the plan.
We believe that the best health care is delivered by multi-disciplinary teams working well together and in partnership with other teams and services to provide seamless care. Band 4 RHCA staff members contribute to the team achieving its objectives by working closely with and drawing support from Qualified Therapists and other health professionals.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full -Time (37.5 hours per week) Band 4 Rehabilitation Assistant (Therapy) to join our dynamic team of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
The team provides multidisciplinary intervention assessment and treatment to patients with a broad range of physical health needs such as falls, fractures and arthritis. Your caseload may include older adults who may also present cognitive difficulties.
Band 4 Rehabilitation Assistants work closely with qualified therapy staff to deliver the rehabilitation programmes by completing delegated tasks.. In addition the rehabilitation assistant will lead and participate in group sessions around falls management and prevention.
You will have an interest in working as part of a team but also must be able to work independently. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and interests. Delivering compassionate care is paramount to the role.
