Job summary

CNWL- MK (Central and North West London Foundation Trust - Milton Keynes) IAPT service is seeking to recruit TWO trainee High Intensity Therapists to undertake their placement within the service.

The service wishes to recruit enthusiastic, motivated and experienced individuals toTRAINto provide High Intensity interventions within a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) framework. This individual would train to deliver on a range of CBT interventions including monitoring of client outcomes and taking a positive role in the development of the MK IAPT service and programme treatments that it provides.

The Milton Keynes IAPT service is recognised as a high performing and successful service through its innovative use of face to face and digital therapies, workshop programmes and treatment modalities.

Important Applicant Information: Applicants who do not possess a core professional qualification as defined by the BABCP are required to provide evidence of knowledge, skills and attitude (KSA) competences. Your KSA portfolio evidence should be complete and brought prior to the interview where it will be reviewed by a KSA assessor from the training provider University of Reading to ensure it meets BABCP requirements before the interview will proceed.

Main duties of the job

Important KSA Information: As a minimum, shortlisted candidates are required to bring completed self-statements and references for each criteria and a record of relevant mental health and psychotherapeutic clinical experience for Reading University to review prior to the interview. Failure to fully meet KSA criteria when it is reviewed may mean that the applicant is deemed not to meet university entry requirements and the interview might be cancelled. Important Information for Core Professionals: Applicants would need to be able to evidence their core profession in their application and at interview - Applicants will need to provide proof of registration or accreditation with the relevant BABCP-approved professional body e.g. HCPC for Psychologists and OTs, BACP or COSCA etc. for Counsellors. You must be fully accredited and with at least 6 months post practice experience. (Provisional accreditation will not be accepted at this time). You must not be in full or part time study on another course whilst in this training post; the course will commence in September 2023.

Important Applicant Information for Qualified PWP's: Attention - Applicants that have qualified as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners will need to be post qualification for at least 2 years to pursue this post, even if you have a core profession.
