Specialty Doctor in Adult Community Psychiatry 10 PAS
We are looking for an enthusiastic Specialty doctor to form part of a high calibre peer group in the heart of London and to work across two established multidisciplinary community mental health teams in Westminster. Main duties of the job
This is a 10 PA full time substantive Specialty doctor role in West End PCN Community mental health team in South Westminster.
The post is based at 190 Vauxhall Bridge Road, SW1V 1DX. The post sits within Jameson Division in Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, which holds mental health services within the inner London boroughs of Westminster and Kensington & Chelsea and the outer boroughs of Brent and Harrow. The post holder will provide Specialty doctor input for the West end PCN team and will access clinical supervision from Dr Constantinos Diamantopoulos, consultant psychiatrist. The post holder is professionally accountable to Dr Sujaa Arokiadass, Clinical Director for Westminster mental health services. Lucy Cook is the Borough Director. There are no on call duties in this post. However, there are opportunities to do optional NHS locum junior on call work in St Charles Hospital when available. The post holder will be part of a CPD peer group in South Westminster. He/she will also participate in annual appraisals

Job responsibilities
This is an established Specialty Doctor post in West end community mental health team in the South Westminster Mental Health Hub.
The South hub has two functional groups West end and Victoria. Each is linked with a PCN (Primary Care Network). Each team is multidisciplinary and responsible for triaging all mental health referrals of patients who are under the care of the GPs in the PCNs. The post holder will be supervised by the consultant psychiatrist in the team. There is also a full time CT1-3 trainee in the team. The West end team is multidisciplinary with staff from different professional backgrounds to help meet patient needs.
The post holder will have a relatively small caseload of sole-managed cases (<20 in each team) and will therefore work flexibly and responsively to support the MDT where medical opinion and management is sought either for new or existing cases. He/she will be supervised by the consultant in West end team.
