Job summary
Several Assistant Psychologist Placement opportunities have become available in Harrow Adult Mental Health Services for psychology graduates.
Successful candidateswill work alongside Qualified Psychologists as well as other professionals in the multi-disciplinary team.
They will receive training, supervision and experience relevant to those wishing to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology.
A minimum commitment of 2-3 days a week for 6-months is requested.
Main duties of the job
The role of Assistant Psychologists on Placement may include;
- Attending multi-disciplinary meetings
- Supporting triage of new referrals
- Supporting the facilitation of psychology groups
- Supporting the delivery of 1:1 manualised psychology interventions
- Administrative tasks
- Service evaluation
Ongoing training and supervision will be offered to the Assistant Psychologist Placement Students by the Clinical Psychologist.
Applicants will require a Psychology BSc/ MSc to be eligible for this placement.
Applications from current undergraduate/ masters students with a placement component as part of their course will also be considered.
