Job summary
We are looking for a qualified Audiologist with experience to join our small, friendly Adult Hearing Service.
Provision of a comprehensive hearing assessment and fitting of hearing aid service for non-complex adults in Milton Keynes.

- To perform routine audiological assessment and rehabilitation of non-complex adults
- To select and fit appropriate hearing aids from NHS BTE range used in Milton Keynes
- To perform Real Ear Measurements to verify and evaluate hearing aid performance
- To take silicon impressions of clients ears when clinically necessary
- To provide counselling, support and advice for clients with hearing loss and amplification
- To re-evaluate the needs of clients returning for re-assessment
- To support team members in other duties as required by the service
- To undertake clinical and administrative tasks as required by the team
- To participate in audits as required

Essential
- BSc, MSc in Audiology or equivalent
- Registered member of British Association of Audiologists
- Competent in: Diagnostic Audiology, Adult Rehabilitation, Fitting of digital Hearing Aids
- Dexterous with: Ear canal impression taking, Probe microphone placement, Earmould modification
- Able to communicate effectively with: Clients with severe to profound hearing loss, Carers, Colleagues
Desirable
- Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered
- Skills in the following: oAuditbase oCouselling oTeaching oPresentation oPlanning oOrganising oHearing loss in adults oAdults with tinnitus oRegistration with RCCP
- Previous NHS experience
