We are delighted to be in a position to advertise a full time Band 7 Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist post in Kensington and Chelsea CAMHS.
The successful candidate will be primarily based in the Enhanced Treatment Team Sub-team, however, we are open to supporting the professional development of our staff and ensure the job satisfaction, so we will consider flexible arrangements and opportunities to work across sub-teams when service needs allow.
About the Enhance sub-team: This is a small, friendly sub team interested in collaborative MDT approaches to working with young people with diverse and complex backgrounds and presentations, often including complex developmental trauma, looked after children and multi-agency working.
This post may suit an experienced Band 7 Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist looking to diversify their practice, but is equally open to current, enthusiastic ACP doctoral trainees close to qualification. Although the position is best placed for a full time clinician, job shares may also be considered for the right candidates.

Main duties of the job
Kensington and Chelsea CAMHS is a diverse, fun, open and hard working team. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for delivering outstanding support to children and young people.
The successful candidate will provide an efficient, effective, comprehensive and specialist psychotherapy assessment and treatment service for children and their families with:
- severe, highly complex and persistent mental health problems and presentations beyond ordinary developmental expectations, their carers/parents and families within care pathways and CAMHS sub teams as relevant.
- To contribute to multi-disciplinary assessment and treatment of families with children with complex mental health presentations, developmental and emotional difficulties.
- To undertake a range of generic clinical work, urgent assessment work, parenting support and specialist child psychotherapy cases.
- To provide supervision consultation on psychotherapy cases to to multidisciplinary colleagues within CAMHS, including junior medical staff as necessary
- To actively engage in outcome monitoring, including the use of normed routine outcome measures associated with CYP IAPT
