CNWL is seeking an enthusiastic and committed specialty doctor in our Brent service.
The post holder is an integral part of a large team that includes a consultant psychiatrist, psychiatry trainees, nurses, social workers, recovery practitioners and outreach workers.
We are looking for an enthusiastic doctor who has no difficulty working with this marginalised patient group and is able to work collaboratively within a dynamic, innovative service and with our partner agencies.
Main duties of the job
The service works within health promotion, recovery and harm reduction philosophies, providing a range of services including initiation and maintenance of substitute prescribing medication and reduction/detoxification. The service provides structured keyworking and specialist interventions relating to opiate, stimulant, benzodiazepine and alcohol users, frequently in the context of poly-substance use and mental / physical health comorbidity.

Our addictions treatment services offer recovery-focussed interventions within vibrant community-based multi-disciplinary teams and in partnership with non-statutory providers
