We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Learning Disabilities Nurse to provide an inpatient, community based service to adults with a learning disability who also have mental health problems and/or challenging needs. You will be joining an AIMS accredited(Accreditationfor Inpatient Mental Health Services) team that is committed to working at the highest standards of clinical practice and who seek to continually improve on this through engaging in regular Quality Improvement projects.
Vaccination
The successful applicant will be an NHS employee and may therefore have contact with vulnerable service users. Main duties of the job
Working as a member of our LD-dedicated multidisciplinary team you will contribute to the care planning and risk management of our service users who may be detained under the Mental Health Act and work intensively with them and their carers, relatives and day service providers.
You would be joining us at an incredibly exciting time as our Learning Disability Services goes through a transformation process aimed at further developing our services and work force. The LD service will soon be implementing LD Nurse Consultants within the teams and together with our extensive training opportunities for our Nursing staff we believe this demonstrates are ongoing commitment to developing our LD staff.
