We have two exciting new roles for Neighbourhood Leads in the transformed Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Service who will be pivotal to the delivery of a Community led service for those affected by the Grenfell fire.
The NHS Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Service is a specialist service set up in response to the fire at Grenfell Tower in June 2017. We work closely with other NHS teams, local organisations and residents in order to create an integrated, creative, flexible and responsive service, aimed at meeting the needs of the of the North Kensington Community.
Main duties of the job
They Neighbourhood Lead roles will be informed by the communities' and service user voices to ensure we meet the needs of the diverse community we serve. We are looking for two people who relish the opportunity to manage services where the drive is to respond to community need first and foremost whilst also ensuring we are compassionate, safe and use our time limited resources to make a real difference.
The ability to work collaboratively and inclusively with the community and leading a responsive, multi-disciplinary team is an essential skill and we are looking for enthusiastic, outgoing people who have experience of creating conversation and culturally competent mental health interventions in collaboration withresidents and organisations.
The successful post holder will be able to work flexibly, positively, creatively and sensitively within a very challenging and fast-changing context, whilst maintaining excellent relationships with all stakeholders
We would be particularly interested in applications from people who live/have worked within the local North Kensington community.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In conjunction with the Assistant Borough Director:
Operational Management and ensuring quality service delivery
- To be the operational manager for the Neighbourhood team, responsible for the workload of the team and ensuring that priorities are met in accordance with the 5-part model of community care.
- To line manage allocated direct reports and to line manage the work of the psychologists, psychotherapists and other MDT within the team
- To lead on the recruitment of team personnel ensuring the staffing complement is diverse and representative of the local population served, Management and oversee the Trac System
- To facilitate and enhance good team working and promote reflective practice
- In conjunction with the Clinical Leads to ensure the Neighbourhood team are delivering a diverse range of culturally sensitive interventions tailored to local needs
- In conjunction with Clinical Leads to ensure staff are appropriately allocating and reviewing service users when appropriate preparing them for the end of their interventions; ensuring service users are moving through the service as appropriate
- To ensure that supervision is given to all staff in the team and to ensure that staff work to high standards of professional practice
- To promote a culture of service user choice and control within the team and to monitor and develop this through job planning, staff supervision and appraisal
- To work with in the relevant legislative frameworks |(e.g. Mental Health Act (1983) Mental Capacity Act (2005), Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, Care Act 2014 etc.)
- To ensure that the team works within the relevant frameworks and policies for safeguarding vulnerable adults and children
- To manage the Neighbourhood team operational budget
- To work with the SMT to regularly review the neighbourhood offer identifying and flexing recruitment and resources to meet the changing needs of the local population
- To ensure that all disciplines in the team work in accordance with the agreed operational policy
- To ensure that accurate case recording occurs regarding all aspects of the work undertaken with service users and that this is reflected in the teams database
- To ensure that team forums are developed and maintained that facilitate: team development, cross disciplinary learning and communication between team members, clinical professional dialogue and staff support
- To work within the context of CNWL policies and procedures and to ensure these are followed by the team
- To promote CNWLs diversity strategy and ensure the service offered is culturally sensitive and responsive
- To manage own time and effectively prioritise own workload as well as the workload of the team
- To deal with disciplinary and grievance issues in accordance with HR policies
- Ensure that arrangements are in place for monitoring staff attendance and sickness in line with CNWL procedures including ESR and Health Roster.
- To assist the Grenfell Associate Service Director in the investigation and preparation of reports of complaints and serious incidents via the Datix system.
- To deputise when required for the Grenfell Associate Director
- To work collaboratively with other Neighbourhood Lead and the Community Collaboration Lead to share learning, providing cross cover where necessary.
