Job summary
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of a high quality specialist Occupational Therapy service within Aylesbury as part of a multi-disciplinary HWB team. This will involve leading on a range of Specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions, evaluating and developing the service as required. The post holder will undertake Lead Clinician responsibilities and the delivery of packages of care to young people with varying needs and complexities. The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical supervision to junior staff within the service. The post holder will possess excellent leadership skills, be able to work autonomously and in collaboration with Professionals within the service, families and young people and partner agencies.
As a senior Clinician, the post holder will contribute to the ongoing development and evaluation of the service and ensure high quality and continuing best evidence practice is maintained.

- The Post holder will have extensive knowledge and experience in the provision of Occupational Therapy within the CAMHS and Adolescent setting, with evidence of additional post qualification training and continuing professional development.
- The Post holder will take responsibility for leading and co-ordinating the specialist Occupational Therapy input delivery within Aylesbury.
- They will support the Band 6 and other colleagues in the development of profession specific interventions and offer supervision and support to develop their skills.
- They will ensure that the Occupational Therapy input is effective, responsive and meets the needs of the YP/YA of Aylesbury in line with Care Pathways.
- The Post holder will take responsibility for managing cases, maximising opportunities for direct patient related contacts and take lead professional responsibilities as required. They will assess the needs of YP/YA and families, establish treatment goals and offer expert clinical knowledge and advice.
