Drama Therapy/ Dance Movement Therapy- Vincent Square Eating Disorder Service
We are looking for adramatherapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team at Vincent Square Eating Disorder Unit. The role will be working with inpatient and day patients, to provide a therapeutic group&/or individual session to process their emotions and relationships rather than through their eating.
This post will be part of the Arts Psychotherapy Team at CNWL, so connected to two teams well established teams.
Main duties of the job
- To be individually accountable, without recourse to onsite guidance, for the planning and provision of dramatherapy for patients across the specialist eating disorder service (in- and day- patients)
- To assess referred/self referred clients with respect to planning specialist treatment, taking into account complexity of presentation, patient need, risk factors and service priorities.
- To contribute specialist knowledge from dramatherapy assessment and treatment to the overall care plan for each client through written summaries, liaison with other professionals involved in the service user's care and contribution to clinical meetings where appropriate.
- To manage and clinically supervise arts psychotherapy trainees on placement.
- To contribute to the Trust's research strategy for the arts psychotherapies.
- To be responsible for regular review of own service, in order to assess any necessary changes in clinical practice.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
- 1.Good honours degree in relevant arts modality or equivalent performing/work experience
- 2.MA or equivalent in Art/Music/Drama/Dance Movement Therapy
- 3.Eligibility for State Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or UKCP for Dance Movement Psychotherapists
- 4.Evidence of CPD since qualifying.
Desirable
- 5.Other related academic qualifications
- 6.Advanced keyboard skills
- 7.Training in risk assessment, breakaway, health and safety, or willingness to complete this in the first year of employment
