Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CAMHS ADHD Clinical Nurse Specialist (Band 7) with generic CAMHS experience to work within a multi-disciplinary Brent CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team. The post holder will be providing consultations, assessments, 1-2-1 work, group work and will hold a caseload. This is a full-time permanent post and is part of a well-established Neurodevelopmental Team where professional development and innovative work is actively encouraged. Brent CAMHS is a very busy & friendly service which welcomes new skills and new ideas. It is part of Central & North West London (CNWL) Foundation Mental Health Trust. We are committed to collaborative multi-disciplinary work and there are very good links with partnership agencies in the borough.
The post will be supervised by the Brent CAMHS Lead for Neurodevelopmental Team.
Brent is a culturally diverse borough and we are keen to provide culturally appropriate services to families. We are looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist who has CAMHS experience and is able to integrate quickly into a busy CAMHS team.
Main duties of the job
The post will include professional, practice development and ensuring high quality client centred care is delivered. The post holder will maintain high standards of care and practice and to empower colleagues to take on a greater range of clinical tasks to improve client care in the specialist CAMHS service. The post holder will be a highly visible presence in clinical practice and be accessible to clients and their families. They will provide advice and expertise in the management of complex cases.
You will will work from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm service for young people experiencing mental health problems in Brent area. The post will be based within the Monks Park health centre in Wembley.

To provide a qualified specialist service to children and young people with mental health problems across all sectors of care as part of a multi-disciplinary CAMHS team. The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the services policies and procedures.
