An opportunity has arisen with the Camden Community Integrated Adult Service for a B6 occupational therapist to join our physical community rotation.
This exciting nine-monthly rotational post based within the diverse London Borough of Camden will involve across our five rotational posts currently consisting of inpatient rehabilitation, community rehabilitation, Rapid Access Service, Reablement flats/supported transition and community neurology and stroke.
We recognise that Band 6's are often the backbone of our clinical teams and we will therefore support their development both clinically and managerially. You will have opportunities to supervise staff, be an educator and have access to both internal/external training.

Main duties of the job
The inpatient rehabilitation post is based at St Pancras Rehab Unit (SPRU) and will be based on the multi-pathology wards. The caseload offers a mix of complex rehab and disability management and the ability to develop skills in complex case management and key worker roles. The reablement flats/supported transition post is linked to SPRU supporting seamless transfer of care and intensive initial rehab at home or at our reablement flats in Hampstead.
The community rehab post is based with Gospel Oak Integrated Community Healthcare team and you will be working alongside physiotherapists, nurses and a range of AHPs providing home & community-based rehab programs with a strong emphasis on falls. There are also opportunities to be involved in community group work, local GP practice based MDT meetings and developing integrated working with other community partners.
Rapid Access Services is a 7-day community service based at St Pancras Hospital comprising of three pathways (Rapid Response, Discharge to Assess and the Camden Accelerated Discharge Service) which work together alongside physiotherapists, highly skilled nurses and paramedics to prevent admission to hospital for the acutely unwell or facilitate early discharge home using home first principles.
The Camden Stoke and Neuro service is a neurological community rehab team providing time limited input to clients with a neurological diagnosis and providing Early Supported Discharge for stroke intervention.

You will use evidence based principles/current best practise and specialist skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions and to ensure that all members of your team do so accordingly.
Your exceptional caseload management and communication skills will enable you to prioritise patient care. You will also work closely with senior nurses, social workers, therapists and other health care professionals to establish and maintain a whole systems approach for these patients.
The teams work a mixture of Monday to Friday 9-5pm and 7 day working.
