Job summary

We are looking for Clinical Team Lead (Nurse or Occupational therapist) to join our team. You will have extensive experience working in Adult Mental Health, preferably in the community. You will provide senior managerial and clinical leadership to enable the delivery of key performance indicators and support the Team Manager to drive improvement, meet service objectives and deliver our quality and financial targets whilst working closely with the team, Consultant and Stakeholders.

We are looking for an experienced, focused individual, who is highly motivated with excellent communication and managerial skills. The CMHT is a busy service and you will therefore need to demonstrate resilience and the ability to adapt to the ever-changing demands placed upon you. Main duties of the job

To provide the clinical lead for staff within the North Kensington Community Mental Health Hub. To support the team manager in providing a unified and integrated management structure for all staff in the Community Mental health Hub, regardless of employing authority. To ensure that the team work to an agreed operational policy offering a high standard and integrated assessment and treatment service presenting with mental health problems.

To assist the team manager in developing a model of working with service users with complex, long term needs, ensuring that services are provided to the highest possible standard and that there is a constant team focus on preparing service users, using the Zoning model, for eventual dischargeTo support the team manager to ensure team work in close liaison with GP surgeries aligned to the hub to provide a seamless service for patients of those surgeries and the local population

To deputise for the team manager when required and to ensure that all referrals to the team are dealt with in an appropriate and timely manner. The potholder will be expected to have well developed clinical skills of their own in order enable them to appropriately guide and supervise staff at all levels and, hold a caseload

  • To be the clinical team leader for the relevant sub-team of the Mental Health Hub, responsible for the clinical practice of the team and ensuring that priorities are met.
