Clinical Associate in Psychology Apprenticeship Post - Westminster Adult Mental Health
A full time, fixed term 18-month apprenticeship role, Band 5 in training.

As an apprenticeship you will be paid full time while you complete a Masters qualification in Adult Mental Health at University College London. You will have 2 days 'off the job' training over a period of 18 months to complete the Programme. The full course fees for this will be paid.
On qualification you will be eligible to work as a (Band 6) Clinical Associate in Psychology in our adult community teams to deliver innovative psychologically based interventions both directly with service users and their families and supporting other colleagues in the teams to do so.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will assist in providing psychological assessments, psychological formulations and delivering psychological interventions. These posts are intended to support the increased access to psychological interventions for groups of service users and populations who may currently be less well served by existing services. The post holder will work with service users to develop a shared understanding of the complex issues the person is facing, how they cope and the impact this has on their mental and physical health and well-being.
Candidates with experience of the diverse social and cultural communities the Trust serves which are currently under represented in our psychology staff groups, will be supported to develop their careers and flourish as valued members of our services.
This new psychologist role will be central in helping services meet the planned significant increase in psychologically underpinned high quality health care as envisaged in the NHS Long Term Plan. As an apprentice working in the Westminster Mental Health Hubs you will receive close supervision from a qualified clinical psychologist. You will be joining the Hub Therapies Teams and you will work closely with qualified, trainee and assistant psychologists as members of our wider Hub Therapies team.

Successful candidates must be able to complete an application for the UCL training by the 25th November after a conditional offer of the post has been made. The will need to be available to begin their employment with the Trust in January 2022 in order to start the UCL MSc.
Candidates will be enrolled on the Clinical Associate in Psychology Masters programme at UCL, the fees for which will be paid, and must therefore be eligible for University UK Home Fees
