Job summary

The post holder will be a key member of the IPC team, supporting the delivery of the IPC agenda across the Trust. They will provide basic IPC advice, support and training on behalf of the IPC team. The post holder will be required to regularly travel to all Trust sites as required.

The post-holder will be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of CNWL.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will assist the Infection Prevention & Control Team to maintain a high standard of Infection Prevention & Control throughout the Trust. This will require the post holder to work with the team and to have a high degree of autonomy

The Infection Prevention and Control Team are introducing a new Band 4 Clinical Support Assistant role to the team. All you need is some clinical experience and the passion and drive to promote infection prevention and control and improve patient safety. This is a one year post and will involve opportunities to educate staff, audit clinical practice and work with the team to promote the IPC agenda across the organisation. You will be based at THQ but there will be a requirement to travel across the organisation to visit services on a regular basis.   • To support and help develop staff in the principles of IPC.

  • NVQ level 3 qualification or relevant clinical experience

  • Previous IPC experience
  • Nursing Associate

  • Experience of leading infection control at a local level, e.g. link practitioner
