Main duties of the job
Work within the Mental Health Team is varied and includes triaging, emergency care and treatment, mental health promotion, effective care planning and liaising with the multidisciplinary team. It's this variety that keeps things interesting and stimulating. You support your primary care colleagues as required. Every day will bring new challenges and new experiences but you'll have all the support you need to deliver the best care possible from both the healthcare team and the prison team.
About us
HMP Woodhill is a Category A/B prison accommodating approximately 720 adult male prisoners who are either sentenced or on remand. CNWL provide primary care and mental health services and are an integral part of the wider prison team contributing to the rehabilitative culture within the establishment.

You will be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse with a real passion for delivering high quality clinical care. You will be self-motivated, flexible and work well within a team but be able to work autonomously.
You do not need to have prison experience as we will provide you with a full induction and training.
