We are looking for high calibre, motivated and enthusiastic Registered Mental Health / Learning disabilities Nurses who are keen to develop their career through rotations in a variety of mental health settings for our Band 5 Rotation and Development (RAD) Programme. You could be a student about to qualify or within your first year as a newly qualified nurse looking for a new challenge. We want to hear from you!
CNWL has developed an innovative rotational programme across our mental health specialities for Band 5 nurses since 2016 and because of its incredible success we aim to keep it going! Nurses on our programmes have gone on to become Band 6s, Band 7s and even Band 8s because of the opportunities offered to them within the Trust.
Main duties of the job
Our bespoke and highly successful 18-month programme offers;
- 3 separate rotations across inpatient and communityservices
- Placements can include; PICU services, HTT, CMHT, EIS and many more
- An opportunity to enrol on the Adult, Older Adult or Learning Disabilities pathway
- A training and development pathway that runs alongside these rotations which includes enrolment onto the Trust's Preceptorship Workshop, upskilling in leadership qualities and a bespoke module on advanced physical health assessment
- An opportunity for you to receive training and engagement in Quality Improvement projects and to become Practice Assessors by the end of the programme
- The chance for you to work across our four diverse boroughs (Kensington and Chelsea, Brent, Harrow and Westminster) where each area has its own unique learning opportunities, varied client groups and rich cultures
- Regular support and guidance from the programme lead and monthly reflective practice sessions with them and the rest of your RAD programme colleagues

- 3 pathways rotations - adult, older people and learning disabilities
- Ongoing support from the RAD lead; reflective practice, supervision and guidance
- Mentoring and coachingsessions with team leaders supporting you with your development and growth into the role
- Protected time to shadow clinical and non-clinical senior staff and teams
- Clear objectives and pathway towork towards Band 6role
The programme is structured into three six month placements, across inpatient and community care settings, with the support of both a programme and placement mentors you will enjoy educational and collaborative learning sets which will secure your ability to progress into future band 6 roles.CNWL is dedicated to developing it's own staff and you will beencouraged to develop yourselfinto becoming the Nurse you wish to be.
