Student Nursing Associate (SNA) Apprenticeship - September 25 intake

UHMBT and University of Cumbria are delighted to be offering this opportunity to join our organisation and start a career in nursing. This is a two year course and once you have successfully completed you will be a Nurse Associate (NA).

Joining us as a SNA (Student Nursing Associate) is a great way to become a NA and offers a lot of unique benefits. You will be fully supported through your journey. You will be paid in line with agenda for change trainee pay (Annex U 21 salary percentage - yr1 70% and yr2 75% of the top of band 4). The apprenticeship supplies you with a blend of "hands on" learning across our organisation to compliment the academic learning.

Please note the posts are available at Lancaster, Kendal and Barrow bases and placements will be cross bay.

Main duties of the job

We are a Teaching Hospital full of hard working and dedicated staff providing community and hospital services across the Morecambe area - an area covering a thousand square miles across south Cumbria and north Lancashire.

About us

We operatefrom three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverstonCommunity Health Centre.

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.

WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies,daycase and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
