Job summary
We are seeking two ENT Specialist grade Doctors to join the current ENT team in the Trust. You will work Cross Bay with the Burrow in Furness as the main site. You will be contracted for at least 10 sessions per week with the option to increase along with service needs.
The applicants must have full registration with the GMC with a licence to practice.

Main duties of the job
The successful applicants will join the consultant rota and a broad experience in general ENT is essential. Any sub-specialty interest will be actively supported. The weekend on call rota would be 1:5 and the weekday 1:4 with prospective cover. They will manage their theatre lists, run independent outpatient clinics and the scope of work will be agreed with the clinical lead.
This post will consist of independent Theatres (supported by SAS or CT1/2), independent Outpatient Clinics and on call cover for the provision of the service and additional time for professional progression (see attached proposed JP).
About us
We operatefrom three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverstonCommunity Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies,daycase and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
