We are the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMBT).
We are a University teaching hospital full of hard working and dedicated staff providing community and hospital services across the Morecambe Bay area - an area covering a thousand square miles in south Cumbria and north Lancashire.
Our Trust is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our Governance team within our Women's and Children's Care Group as a Risk and Governance Manager.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for promoting and facilitating the development of effective governance, risk and assurance across the Care Group.
You will provide direct support to the Care Group with the coordination, implementation and delivery of the Care Group
You will help us work towards our Clinical Quality Agenda with emphasis on risk and clinical effectiveness.
Lead on the development of sustainable processes for the management of patient safety with in the Care Group including changes to practice, standard operating procedures and service

We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
