Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 3 Medical Workforce Recruitment Assistant.

The Medical Workforce Recruitment Assistant will promote excellence in customer service by being the first point of contact for managers and medical staff. You will support the recruitment for all grades of Medical and Dental staff within the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMB) in line with current policies and procedures.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a great, friendly, and supportive Team and you will be expected to uphold the reputation of the Medical Workforce Team, build trust and confidence with stakeholders and continuously strive to improve and develop services to support the medical workforce.

About us

We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.

WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.

  • GCSE in English Language & Maths or equivalent.
  • NVQ 3 in Administration or equivalent

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in a general office environment and providing customer services

Desirable

  • Data processing, preferably in recruitment systems

Skills

  • Demonstrate knowledge of current recruitment legislation
  • Excellent communication skills both orally and verbally
  • Excellent IT skills using MS Word, Excel, e-mail, and Internet
