Job summary

An opportunity has arisen to join the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Team at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust (UHMBT) as an Occupational Health Senior Administrator; the post is permanent 22.5 Hours, primarily based at Furness General Hospital.

The post holders will be working and supporting an experienced administrative team and will have shared responsibility for ensuring professional admin support is given to allow the continuation of services provided by the Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service. Working with the services Business Manager the post holder will provide regular accurate updates of data to demonstrate departmental activity/trends in line with service demands to ensure agreed KPI's are met

Main duties of the job

The post holder will help support the day-to-day management of the office and the development, implementation and maintenance of office practices and procedures.

Key Responsibility will be to help support the Business and systems manager in maintaining the administration service to University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust

Will support and deputise in supervision of other OH administration staff on a day to day basis across all three sites.

Working with the services Business Manager successful applicants will provide regular accurate updates of data to demonstrate departmental activity/trends in line with service demands to ensure agreed KPI's are met

The post holder will carry out their work in such a way as to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation.

About us

We operatefrom three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverstonCommunity Health Centre.

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.

WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.

All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies,daycase and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.

Our community services for adults are provided in people's homes, community centres, clinics, GP Practices, community hospitals and our main hospitals. Our aim is to work with people to help them remain independent, improve their health and manage their conditions through high quality care, advice and support.
