Main duties of the job
Leadership and management of a newly formed team within the Research and Development Department. This team will be made up of experienced Research practitioners from Bands 3 to 6, with the initial emphasis on research into the areas of Rheumatology and Respiratory conditions. We already have an enviable track record in these two areas and hope to consolidate this by increasing our recruitment to all research studies, especially the prestigious commercial research commissioned by the life sciences industry.
The role will also be expected to manage their own portfolio of clinical research studies, with an emphasis on commercial studies and they will also take the lead role in setting up and managing new studies.
As part of their line management duties, the Senior Research Practitioner will develop more junior staff to be able to take over the running of these studies in the future.
For these reasons, we are looking for an accomplished research practitioner with experience of working on a range of studies and the aptitude to nurture and guide a team with a mixed range of experience and skill.
