Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Audiologist to join our friendly departments which offer a full range of audiological services.
North Lancashire and Cumbria are beautiful parts of the country with lakes, fells and a stunning coastline. This area provides ample opportunity for walking, cycling and exploring the beautiful surroundings.Barrow and Kendal are bustling communities, with excellent schools and transport links.
You must have:
A Degree in Audiology BSc /MSc
R.C.C.P. registration or in the process of registering is essential
Post qualifying experience working in adult and paediatric audiology
Valid driving licence - post involves travel to different sites/domiciliary visits
We undertake all aspects of adult and paediatric audiology, including tinnitus management, paediatric assessment & fitting, diagnostic audiometry, OAE & ABR, Bone Anchored Hearing Aids and VNGs
Main duties of the job
The base for this post will be split between the Furness General Hospital (Barrow-in-Furness) and Westmorland General Hospital (Kendal). Both departments are friendly and extremely busy.

About us
We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
