Main duties of the job

If so, we have an exciting development opportunity for a dynamic People & OD professional to join our team on fixed-term basis for 12 months, providing cover to enable the current post holder to focus on wider cultural transformation. Your role will be pivotal in developing and implementing People and OD strategy at UHMBT with particular emphasis on:

  • Employee inclusion and diversity
  • Embedding values and behaviours
  • Supporting the development of a culture of respect, engagement and teamwork
  • Leading corporate, care group and protected characteristic responses to the NHS Staff Survey and Pulse Surveys

  • Master's degree (or equivalent postgraduate level ability and experience)
  • Appropriate professional and leadership qualification
  • Continuous Professional Development, including leadership development

Desirable

  • Specialist qualification in relevant field
  • Member of the CIPD

Experience

Essential

  • Good experience of implementing I&D and/or colleague engagement strategies, including involvement in the ongoing development, delivery and measurement of plans
  • Extensive experience of Business Partnering or similar, with track record across broad spectrum of people & OD activity

Desirable

  • Significant exposure to close working with Leadership Teams (or equivalent)
  • Working collaboratively across organisations (through effective networks)

Skills / Competencies

Essential

  • Good organisational, communication and time-management skills

Desirable

  • Consultancy skills (internal or external)
  • Ability to write Board-level reports

Knowledge

Essential

  • Detailed understanding of workforce opportunities and challenges facing Morecambe Bay
  • Detailed understanding of staff survey and colleague feedback mechanisms
  • Detailed knowledge of inclusion and diversity
