Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Specialist Nurse to join our Community based Bladder and Bowel team involving assessment and treatment of a mixed caseload of patients across Morecambe Bay.

The service covers the geographical area of University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust; with bases at Heysham Primary Care Centre and Westmorland General Hospital therefore you must have the ability to work and travel to various sites across the Bay.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for:

  • A Nurse who has a post registration clinical qualification in relevant specialist area, or who is willing to undertake training within first year of appointment.
  • A motivated individual who can demonstrate evidence of their own professional development.
  • A Team player who can also work independently.
  • A friendly and flexible attitude, that is patient focused and dedicated to quality care.
  • Confident IT skills

About us

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
