Job summary
This is a part time post , flexible hours - can consider 18.75 up to 26.26 hours per week.
The in-reach service focuses on promoting better physical health for those people diagnosed with severe and enduring mental ill health. Some experience in mental health dietetics would be preferable but not essential as training and clinical supervision can be provided.
The job is varied and challenging; it offers the opportunity to work in a variety of low medium and high secure units with people with a variety of mental health issues, and the chance to develop your psychoeducation, counselling and behaviour change techniques to assist in building motivation and capacity for lifestyle change and self-management.
This post is subject to an enhanced check with adults barred list Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check. Successful candidates will be required to pay for the cost of the DBS Disclosure which is £44.00, the cost of which will be deducted from first salary.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for maintaining your own clinical caseloads and engaging in clinical and managerial supervision. The department undertakes student training and you will be involved in providing support and training. In addition, there will be opportunities to develop skills in audit, project management and service development.
The role will involve regular travel across multiple sites in the trust catchment area. The post holder must be able to meet the travel requirements of this post. Please indicate on your application how you meet this requirement.
