Job summary
Due to an internal promotion, we are looking to welcome a band six podiatrist to our friendly team.
We provide podiatric care to a diverse patient cohort, many of whom have complex needs. We provide care from a range of community and acute settings and in patients own homes
The post holder will be expected to work across the locality and provide care in a domiciliary setting therefore successful candidate must have access to a vehicle for work purposes to meet the requirements of the role.
The postholder will be supported through mentorship to provide care across a range of clinical specialisms in a variety of clinical locations. - The post rotates through nail surgery, biomechanics and management of the high-risk foot in both acute and community settings, including providing care to patients in their own home. Care is provided for both adults and children who are referred or self-refer for podiatry input.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for a motivated, organised, forward thinking HCPC registered podiatrist to work as an integral part of our team, developing clinical skills and supporting junior staff and students on their learning journey.
To support patients with podiatric care with the aim of returning them to maximum independent living, empowering patients to make decisions about their own care and encourage them to exercise their rights and choices, signposting them to relevant community and voluntary services and supporting patients and their carers to take responsibility for their footcare.
To have proven knowledge and clinical skills necessary to assess, diagnose, develop and implement individual care plans based upon best practice and evidence base
