Job summary
This role will include some rotation into the various modalities based within the tertiary Neuroradiology department based at The James Cook University Hospital.
This role will include some rotation to the various community imaging sites operated by the Trust
The successful candidate should be competent in routine CT, MRI or Vascular imaging They will be an active member of the multidisciplinary team demonstrating a range of skills to meet the needs of the patient in a safe, caring environment that promotes dignity, privacy and respect.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop skills is the other modalities within neuroradiology.
The post holder will be expected to develop knowledge and skills within the specialty and will assist in the management and delivery of compassionate, high quality patient care.
The post holder has a duty of care to patients and is expected to comply fully with all Trust policies, in particular policies relating to personal and patient safety and the prevention of healthcare associated infections. As a Trust employee you will honour your work commitments, be reliable, trustworthy and uphold the values and beliefs of the Trust.
The post holder will be expected to contribute to the on-call rota.
Main duties of the job
- Provide specialist clinical services and advice involving a range of imaging services provided within Neuroradiology. This will include CT Scanning, MRI Scanning and Vascular Procedures.
- Provide imaging services as an autonomous practitioner guided by occupational policies, protocols and procedures and maintaining practices in accordance with Trust, Collaborative and Department Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain a high standard of patient care.
- Be aware of current working policy and practice and, where necessary, propose and implement changes to improve the service.
