An exciting opportunity has arose for a highly motivated, flexible registered nurse in our cardiac rehabilitation team based at The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
We offer a range of cardiac rehabilitation services to patients and their families working both in the hospital and also at community venues across Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and Hambleton and Richmondshire.
The post holder will be expected to assist the cardiac rehabilitation manager to maintain the smooth running of the South Tees Cardiac Rehabilitation Service and in particular assist in the provision of a high quality cardiac rehabilitation to the local population.
The job will be based at The James Cook University Hospital but the post holder will be required to travel toRedcar Primary Care Hospital, The Friarage Hospital, Northallerton and other community venues to provide Cardiac Rehabilitation Services.
Applicants must have post registration experience in a cardiac rehabilitation, cardiology or cardiothoracic environment. They must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work using their own initiative.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will provide a high quality specialist service of Cardiac Rehabilitation to patients and staff at The James Cook University Hospital and Friarage Hospital and surrounding areas.
They will deliver Phase 1 to Phase 3 of thecardiac rehabilitation programme to an appropriate group of patients during their admission, follow up on clinics andhelp organise and deliver phase III cardiac rehabilitation programme at The James Cook University Hospital, Friarage Hospital and various community settings.
The post requires you to work autonomously managing a caseload of patients demonstrating sound analytical and problem solving skills whilst also working as part of the multi-disciplinary team responsible for cardiac care both in the acute and primary care setting.
